Are they cutting back or are Australians just saying that because they're sending maintenance overseas. Do you want another Ansett? It's the future of global economics. Big Australian businesses will not be able to survive without outsourcing when all thier competitors do. Qantas still has never had a single crash. They have always been the safest airline in the world.

Recently caught a very late flight (QANTAS sister co JETSTAR) no explanation was given and when plane landed from an International Flight they unloaded, took 15 minutes, then re-loaded us - didn't like to think all checks only took 15 minutes

Another Australian Icon going down the gurgler. Of course QANTAS is ruining it's reputation. It used to be known as one of the safest airlines to travel with but maintaining them overseas does not ensure a good safety record anymore. Not good.

What concerns me the most is that Qantas is not on the top 13 list of safety in the world. Its placed number 6 at Service, but i would like to see safety first.
