don't know if it is because they are genetically modified or hit with some gas to ripen them quicker or they are stored in cold storage for too long. Either tasteless, taste of a chemical or they go off within a day of purchase especially from the bigger supermarkets.

Fresh fruit grown and harvested in season within its respective climate often provides the best flavour, nutrition and suitability for our seasonal eating table. Our Global economy however can deliver all kinds of variety and uba seasonal fruits of various exotic and climatic origins and even these dont have to be GM origin. GM often provides deease resistant friuts that may otherwise be unavailable due to insect and mould devastation that may also be problematic for our economy. But we need to be certain that GM fruits are a sustainsable and healthy alternative to our fresh natural varieties.

Fruit has no taste when it is picked too early and unripe.
