Triza...the word is "than", not "then"

It depends on which US state you were educated in. Some teach 'than' while others teach 'then'. However if you were educated in the British system or Australia you would use 'than' as Lauryn138 suggested. Very confusing.

Then is mainly an adverb, often used to situate actions in time. For example, you wake up in the morning and then have breakfast. Than is a conjunction used mainly in making comparisons—e.g., “My breakfast is better than yours” It is not like jail or gaol. Then and Than are two different words with two different meanings and uses.

Presentable yes. Beautiful? Well that is in the eye of the beholder. You will never be beautiful to everyone. As for duty, I don't think so. It my will to be presentable it is not up to anyone else to decide what I do with my body and face.

you can be beautiful and presentable with out makeup, who says you have too/or your duty to do anything.
