Lucky if I see 2 movies per year. The good ones rarely come to Bendigo.

3 kids, work, family, blah blah blah... no time, too expensive if you go to the movies & the cheaper cinemas are dirty and you line up for 2 hrs before the movie just to get a good seat, by that time the kids are over it and so are you, and then they have eaten all the popcorn & drinks and want another round. I have on occasion smuggled in food & drinks if we have gone to Event Cinemas etc = big bags are great. Home as above = time poor

Nowhere does the question say anything about going to the cinema! Doesn't anyone watch DVDs/blurays/Foxtel/Free-to-air/Netflix movies at home anymore? Movies can be inexpensive, compatible with sick kids or animals, you can set up your lounge just the way you want, multiple popcorn (or any other favourite treat) runs, pause for toilet breaks, get drink refills anytime, you can snuggle your significant other on the couch, cuddle up with the kids/dog/cat etc, or cry buckets and sniffle all alone without embarrassment. Case in point: I'm in my lounge room, it's 9pm on Sunday night, and my hubby and I are having a delayed Date Night watching Pacific Rim on BluRay. I have one of my cats cuddled up beside me, and the other two are snuggled up on either side of the hubby. Total cost - $20 for the BluRay, $3 for popcorn and about 50c worth of iced water. And neither too hot, nor too cold, and no-one texting, answering phones, no crying kids or giggling pre-teens, nothing but comfort :)
