Should the Australian Government legalise marijuana use throughout Australia?

This is not likely to happen as there are too many with vesyed interests in keeping it illegal - they make too much money from it, and manage to ensure that thesmall fry manage to get caught.

You assume that people use drugs due to addiction. Has it occurred to you that some people may have reasons for smoking the drug other than that? Have you heard of the loss of appetite in Cancer and Aids patients? Or don't you bother to find out any information before sharing your opinion?

I AGREE WITH ALL THIS PERFECT !! Medicinally,this drug should be decriminalised for use only obtained under prescription for protracted pain caused due to many medical conditions... Allowing this drug to be freely available legally without restriction is not the best solution to this issue, as it would pave the way for under age usage to incease... Legalise it but with restrictions and criteria.. for example... age.. for medical purposes and other criteria for example requiring users to carry an authorisation card so they cannot be arrested if its in their position.. Overall, there in no PERFECT SOLUTION to such an issue, as the world we live in in IMPERFECT

Legalise it then you will find that these junkies will stop stealing to support there habit and grow it them selves

Dah, most do or would grow it for themself but you can get arrested for that too. People who smoke marijuana are not junkies who go around stealing things. You probably think all drugs are the same. They are not but all drugs should be legalised then they can be properly controled and criminals won't make any money from pedling them.
