Time is an amazing healer and children are amazingly aware of their parent's relationship. However for the happiness of all in a family they surely we should first look to forgive the action and look to the 'why' it happened, and then move forward.

When you have a few children, it's easy to say yes and stay with your partner. However, you feel demeaned and eventually the relationship breaks up, especially if your children can see the problems no matter how much you try to hide them.

It is always worth trying to salvage the relationship if possible. I made a vow before God "'til death do us part" and for my part I meant it!

If only everyone had that kind of commitment! We wouldn't have such a high rate of divorce. Good on you :)

It would take some time to trust them again.. but if you really love them I think you should give them another chance :)

I did this once already and it has not been a good outcome. I would never do it again, nor encourage anyone else to do it. The only thing he was sorry about, was that he got caught.
My advice to anyone even vaguely considering cheating on their partner is NOT TO. The loss of trust completely destroys the relationship. Nothing is ever the same again, or even close to it. I sometimes think even death would be preferable. I think you could handle death better, because their is a finality to it.
