We are already extremely overtaxed in this country. Retailers must remain competitive. Ongoing State and Federal mismanagement of our tax dollars needs to be addressed and until government can prove that they are handling taxation efficiently, why should we keep throwing good money after bad?

We get ripped off as it is even when our dollar is worth way more.

If retailers weren't so bloody greedy i might consider going back to supporting aussie retailers. As a gamer why would i want to pay on average $70-$100 a game when i can buy them for half that and much less in most cases. If they put a GST on the games i buy i will still be paying 40% less so i guess i still won't be buying games locally. Retailers have no one to blame but themselves for the position they find themselves in

It really doen't matter if a GST is applied, it is still much cheaper.

Why? so the pollies can give themselves another $70-$100k per annum pay rise.
Maybe if so much of the taxes we already pay were put to proper use & not just flushed down the toilet as they are now, I might consider supporting it but not at the moment.
