Nobody likes paying tax, and those at the top of the tree find heaps of ways to avoid it. But how many ordinary people will lose their jobs if consumers stop using retail outlets? Are we happy to have unemployment rates like those in Europe?

Typical, Lets help the rich get richer and reward them for ripping people off. We already pay more tax than most countries, we pay more for petrol, the banks refuse to drop rates when the RBA do and local councils won't pick up your wheelie bin if it's not 90 degrees to the kerb. Wake up and force retailers to charge realistic prices.

I agree whole heartedly. People need to stand up for themselves and annoy their memeber of parliment until they do something. GST howard said he would not but he did and why didnt the labour gov take it away.
